We have launched a consultation on the emerging Hemel Place Strategy. We would like to hear from you how Hemel Hempstead feels as a place to live, work, and visit, and what is most important to you when thinking about Hemel Hempstead.

Dacorum Borough Council would like you to have your say on Two Waters!

Last chance to have your say!

Does your child go to Two Waters Primary school? Do you work near London Road? Make sure to voice your opinion, because no one knows this area quite like you do. We would love to hear your thoughts on your favourite buildings, streets, public spaces and green spaces in Two Waters, any improvements that could be made and what you would like to see more of in the future.

We know from our recent Local Plan consultation that the continued regeneration of Hemel Hempstead remains a key priority for our community, and we're keen to take this forward by exploring new opportunities. As a key part of this, we are looking to identify several new ‘Opportunity Areas’ across the town. One of those has been identified in the south of Hemel Hempstead, known locally as Two Waters.

We are spending more time exploring the Two Waters Opportunity Area, and to help us we are keen to hear from you on what it is that you consider to be important for this area. Feedback is so important to be sure the area meets the current and future needs of the community. Feedback from local residents, businesses, and visitors is considered vital to shape the emerging guidance for the area.

Hemel Old Town Hall Consultation

Since 1978 The Old Town Hall, in Hemel Hempstead's Old Town, has hosted arts and performance led activities building loyal audiences of all ages. It has hosted a successful programme of activities that have been led by drama, film, comedy, music and fine art.

We are now exploring a future vision for The Old Town Hall and its programme of activities. To help shape some ideas and options about the future, we would like to hear about your experiences, thoughts about and ideas for The Old Town Hall.

Public Meeting: April 2022

The Hemel Old Town Place Project aims to meet publicly with stakeholders on a regular basis. The first meeting took place on 13 October 2021. Details of of the next public meeting are below:

Time: Networking/refreshments: 5.30pm - 6pm

Stakeholder event: 6pm - 8pm

Networking/refreshments: 8pm - 8.30pm
